SPIDER HOCKEY COACHING SKILLS DAY A HUGE SUCCESS

Spider Hockey Coaching ran a very succesful Spring Skills day at Western Wildcats Hockey Club. Coaching at the day was the Western Wildcats 1st team including Commonwealth Games players Dave Mansouri, Dougie Simpson and record Scottish Cap holder Vishal Marwaha.

Spider Hockey Coaching will be running training squad block 3 from May - June 2011. The block will consist of 7 Training sessions at a cost of £95 per block.

SUMMER CAMP (GLASGOW AND AYR) HUGE SUCCESS

Spider Hockey Summer Camps in both Glasgow and Ayr were a huge success with Spider Campers from age 7 to 15 enjoying Hockey Coaching in the top class facilites at Windyedge, The Glasgow Academy and at Wellington School Playing Field, Alloway. Spider Campers enjoyed a varity of skills practises and game related exercises in a jam packed 5 day action camp.

Over the 5 days a number of Scottish and Great Britian Internationalists popped in for skills demostrations and also to help give spider campers an insight into what is like playing at the top level of hockey. Overall both of the Camps in Glasgow and Ayr were a huge sucess despite the tempermental weather. Details of the next Spider Hockey camp in October will be release very soon so keep a look out on the webpage.

OLYMPIAN LAURA BARTLETT SIGNS FOR SPIDER HOCKEY COACHING

Top Scottish Internationalist and Beijing Olympian Laura has agreed to join Spider Hockey Coaching as Technical Advisor.

Laura will have an input on technical skills aspects allowing for the latest hockey techniques to be delivered. It is hoped depending on her International committments, that Laura will make some guest coaching appearances.

Laura will also provide us with a regular blog detailing her preparations for the London Olympics 2012.

Spider Hockey Coaching Training Squad Block 1 starts 27th August

Spider Hockey Training Squad Coaching Block 1 gets under way on August the 27th at the Palace of Art Bellahouston Water Base Pitch. Head Coach Euan Miller commented
